for more info on the effects of concussions see the book by paul r wiesenfeld called the medical and legal aspects of a brain injury.

POSTED BY Maryland Brain Injury Lawyer on Jan 21 under Brain Injury

Near South mountain on i-70 two women died from injuries suffered when their car was struck by another vehicle on snowy icey roads. the womens names were Barbara anne Pacifico and Lori anne shipley.

whenever there is a  car crash and one car hits another negligence is the first concern of lawyers. Who is at fault? How did the accident occur? The family of the injured parties worry about their health and safety while the attorney they hire looks to fault or negligence. Drivng on snow or icey roads is always a problem for motorists but that does not preclude fault.

suitland’s high school coach in car accident

The  police are investigating a car accident involving Nick Lynch. It occurred on jan 1 at 1230 am. Apparantly the coach attempted to turn left and was hit by an oncoming vehicle a gmc sierra who was traveling north on Branch ave.

Drivers owe a duty not to turn left when traffic is coming or to yield and wait until its clear. the driver of the Sierra suffered a broken leg.

Broken legs are minor when compared to a death as the coach died but the issue of fault is usually clear in cases like this. One does not look to the severity of the injury to determine fault rather who followed the traffic laws and who didn’t.

when speed is the cause of an accident a la brian grey

POSTED BY Maryland Brain Injury Lawyer on Dec 31 under Brain Injury

The courts place a high standard in civilly allowing a plaintiff say for example the estate of brian grey to prevail. When is speed the proximate cause of an accident? if mr grey did something wrong and so did officer chavez who is at fault? Both? if so who proximatelly caused the accident? if officer chavez then mr grey wins but if both were negligent and grey was contributorily negligent then he loses.

was speed the proximate cause of the accident? this is the question?
