Facebook Use Evaluated in Brain Injury Trial

A plaintiff says he is unable to work because of brain injury. But a judge in Vancouver, B.C. has ordered the man who claims he suffered a brain injury in a car accident to have his computer hard drive analyzed to determine how much time he spent on Facebook as consideration in the case.

In Australia last year, a judge ruled that a lawyer could serve legally binding court documents by simply posting them on a defendant’s Facebook site.
