damaged brain can it change its own structure?

what if you or someone you know has had a traumatic brain injury. don’t you want to believe that the brain like a cut on ones finger can heal itself? Many do not think the brain has this capacity. that is it can’t! Well in a new book by Norman Doidge he claims it can.

 I also have heard that harvard researchers make this claim. From my experience  dealing with people who have suffered severe traumatic injuries to the brain i support this conclusion
